ok guys and gals, here is a question for all of the diesel guru's out there. What is the 10k mod? what does it do? is it fail safe? are there any downfalls or possibilites of problems arising in the future after the mod is made? any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
'96 ford 7.3 liter PSD turbo 4x4 auto - still tryin to save up money to modify my redheaded, white girl.
It uses a 10K resistor and raises the fuel injection pressure to deliver more fuel earlier. The one drawback I've heard is that your truck might idle rougher. I haven't done this mod to my truck.
Yeh It will make your truck idle different I put a 10K ohm resister on my 2000 F-350 on one side of a switch and a 0-10 K ohm potentiometer on the other side turn the pot down to about 1.5K when towing my pulling truck into a truck into the pits and really turns some heads get more questions about the stroke than the other truck.
Could You Explain In A Little Greater Detail..please.?
How it works? Did you read the information from the link? I think it explains the mod quite well. Read the link and post specific questions and maybe we can answer them then.
