Question Tonneau cover

I recently purchased a 2001 L with the factory tonneau cover. I love the truck!

I'd like to remove the tonneau cover temporarily but can't figure out how. I've tried pushing down on the clips at the corners, but nothing budges. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing...any help would be appreciated!

My cover has three pins that pull out. and tthe top sides off. Maybe try some break free spray.

On my '03 there is a rectangular shaped button on the tailgate side of the rear support bar. Push that in and pull the support bar toward the tailgate. It should slide off. The other two support bars are the spring loaded, telescoping kind. Pull the end toward the middle of the bed. This will compress the spring and let you lift out the bar. The bars are not the same length so note which bar came out of which area. Hope this helps.
