Looking for experiences, good or bad, with Armor Lid or Undercover hard tonneau covers. I'm not looking for a paintable fiberglass cover - just an ABS type cover that I can use for securing stuff in my bed on trips, etc. Thanks guys.
I know Armor Lid is less expensive, but Undercover is a better cover. Armor Lid is imported from China. Undercover is made in the USA and fits trucks better. Also, Undercover has a patent on the design that you see underneath it which makes it very strong.

Thanks for the reply TruckDaddy. I was leaning toward the Undercover but saw the Armor Lid and was curious. It doesn't look as sturdy as the Undercover either. Thanks again.
Undercover was the only hard tonneau we sold. The reasons we liked it, two split rings and the shock and it comes off; if you scratch it it blends in, if it doesn't a black sharpie is all you need to touch it up; We had a picture of a 400lb man jumping on one, it bowed badly, but never broke; The lights and thumb latches came later, but were nice features which could be easily retro fitted (I only retro fitted one though.); when you close the lid, it also locked the tailgate (not that nice of a feature on a truck a tailgate lock, but very nice if the truck didn't come with one.)
The only warning I got from the sales rep was there is a kind of bug spray that will stain the plastic.
Fiberglass covers, like ARE, are nice because they are painted to match your truck. But, there's no utility to them: Not made to be removable, heavy, can't stand on them, etc.
