abs light on again 89F150...help

abs light on again 89F150...help

R&R abs sensor at differential but lights on again after 5 miles(consistently). Would battery disconnect reset computer for proper abs function? Shop will run codes next week but before then where is location of the abs modulator? I want to give that a looksy. If this thing traces back to the computer I'll do w/o rear abs...too expensive for me to go that route.

Yes I would unhool the battery for at least ten minutes to reset the codes and then check again.

The proportioning valve is located on the inside of the L/H frame just under where the master cylinder is. The controller is behind the instrument panel above the floor tunnel. You might try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes and reconnecting. You should operate the vehicle for 10 miles for the computer to relearn before pulling any codes.
