You will want to tap the cooler return line to the tranny.
There are 2 metal lines running out of the passenger side of the tranny. The line out of the front of the tranny is the fluid out line to the cooler. The line to the rear of the tranny is the fluid return line from the cooler to the tranny. You want to tap the rear (return) line.
There is a rubber hose that connects the metal line to the tranny cooler. It runs around the passenger side of the radiator. Cut 1"-2" out of this line and splice in the Magnefine. Pay attention to the flow direction arrow on the Magnefine.
I am looking at the passenger side of the radiator......son't see a rubber hose. Which cooler is tranny cooler?? Maybe I am looking at the wrong radiator. Try to be more specific on where the hose is. Thanks!

Don't look at the radiator. There are a bunch of hoses running to/from it.
Find the metal line running from the back of the tranny on the passenger side. Follow it to the front of the engine. It will connect to a rubber hose. That's the rubber hose that you want. The flow is from the radiator to the metal line. Watch the directional arrows on the filter.
Is there anywhere but the internet to find one of these filters?
Yes. Your Ford dealer sells them.
Part # XC3Z-7B155-AA - Filter Kit (includes hoses and clamps).
Another good place to mount a Magnefine is behind the grill, in the lines for the tranny cooler.

I thought I read a while ago the best place to mount the filter was at the trans? Anyone have any prices on the filter kit installed from a dealer?
I based my statement on where Dale Isley installed mine, while he was also installing my Tru-Cool tranny cooler. He knows more about Powerstrokes than just about anyone, so I trust his judgement.

Ditto. He knows far more than anyone I know. All you havee to do is read 1 of his posts and it's obvious.
