[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Dec-02 AT 05:07 PM (EST)]Considering the fact that the Expy is designed after the F150 body and frame, i would say that it WILL NOT get the 6.0 since the F150 will not be getting that big of an engine. The vehicle would not hold up to the torque in this amazing engine, Just my $.02. Ford has done stranger things, so who knows for sure.
Last I heard Ford is developing a second powerstroke.
Smaller than the new 6.0. Somewhere around 4.6 or so.
Will be available in the Expedition, Navigator and Super Crew.
Better yet will be the second gen 6.0. Electronic valves. No camshaft.
I think slated for 2005.
2005 on the smaller 4.6 but you know how Ford is with releasing new engines.
99.5 Ford Super Duty F-250 XLT 4x4. S/C L.W.B. PSD Auto loaded.
4 in. Pro-Comp lift. 35 x 12.5 x 16.5 BFG AT/KO. Weld SSII 16.5 x 9.75. Rancho 9000's Dual Front.
Warn M12000 in Semi-hidden mount. Astro-start Supreme 3006.
Thanks for the feedback. I have been reading some on that camless diesel at International and it would be a different beast all together.
For now I'm still breaking in my 7.3 PSD on a 01 X. Only 15K miles have been able to afford the SCMT, what a difference that made to the performance. Next on my wish list guages, down pipe/exhaust and ART rotors.
I've heard the earliest the 4.5L V6 will make it to the F-150 is in 2006 when low-sulphur diesel makes it onto the market, so you can assume that is the earliest the Expy will get it aswell.
