Exclamation Chapter Leader Nominations

Hello Everybody

This is the official Nomination thread for
Chapter leader. Please read the Announcement
by the Webmaster at the top of the forum
for the details. Discussions and questions
for candidates may be raised here, and
answered by the prospective candidates.

Nominations may be placed by anyone who
#1 participates in this forum.
#2 primarily lives in the state of Oklahoma.

Candidates must be from the FTE Oklahoma
forum group, and be willing to help the Chapter
organize its efforts and grow in members,
and present a positive image of FTE to the
general public. This is work. And it requires
an investment in time, maturity and others.
It works best when there is wise delegation
of tasks, because no one person can do this.
It is a collective effort with great rewards.

Nominations will open 04/09/2004 Friday and
will close on 04/23/2004 Friday. An Election
Poll for all Candidates will be posted on 04/
24/2004 Saturday and continue to 05/01/2004.
Results will be listed and a winner will be announced
in the forum on 05/02/2004 Sunday by the forum
Moderator White_Knight. In the event of a tie, the
Election Poll will be reopened to decide the winner,
with the times rescheduled and announced by the
Moderator.

Thank you for your participation!

I didnt know you could nominate yourself, but I think mark has done a good job so far. I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for FTE, and especially the okies. From what I've seen on this chapter, I think Mark has the drive, mindset, and skills to accomplish the required expectations, and responsibilities, his desired station comes with. Now If any other qualified candidates appear who are willing to apply themselves to the position I would be willing to hear them out, but at this time I would have to say that mark is the best looking candidate so far to date.

done deal?!?

BigBlue, thanks.

I appreciate your estimation of me. In retrospect,
I really don't know if one can nominate oneself. And I
may have been wrong in doing so. Because of that, and
also my current position as Moderator, I feel it wise to
retract my self-nominatory bid in the interest of fairness to
all those who post here. The true process of nomination
according to Roberts Rules of Order and parlimentary protocol
is by proxy and free choice.

I respect this standard and I apologize to all for my
misdirected boldness. It is my desire to see our group
grow into something outstanding, but I will not presume
that I am the one to accomplish this task. It takes all of
us, and I am no greater, or better than the next person.

This is a position that, while I may desire it, may be better
served by someone else. There are many here that can
lead effectively and I recognize that. And I would be honored
to work with and for anyone who chose to reach out for this goal.
For me, the task of Moderator has been a real pleasure
because of all of you- our forum group- is a positive, funloving
conscientious group that is a real pleasure to associate with.

And yes Jimbare and NoMo that means you too. In spite of you
two guys and CigarXTC keeping me on my toes, I know that; as
a FTE forum moderator I've got it easy compared to some of my
fellow forum moderators. I have yet to step in and take any
action and I would be beyond surprised if I ever had to. I appreciate
all of you, not only for our present association, and your excellent
conduct in respect of the fact that this is a family-oriented site
and organization, but also for the hope of future association
and fellowship in real time, off line.

So on to the task at hand. I have said what I will. Now it is up
to all of the posters here. The slate is clean, and the clock is ticking.
Get after it.

Thanks!
Mark

I wasn't trying to bust on ya. sorry if it came across that way. But I do think that you would be one of the people best suited to running this group. That said, anyone else who wants it should have said something, on this thread, by now. I mean, as long as this thread has been active, and as many views as it has recieved, any interested parties would have made their intentions clear I would think. By the way when's the vote?

I would like to nominate our esteemed moderator, "white knight" aka mark. Who, for the short time I have been a participant in this chapters activities, has shown his willingness to organize, and gather information about the members of this online/hopefully offline community. By doing this to help us all share info, help, and fellowship with one another I think he has shown a dedication to us as a leader.
I feel confidant that our community would be in good hands while he is acting "president".

Which brings an interesting thought........

How long's the term?

Talking

What with regular work, yard work, and now workamping, I don't get around here much any more. But I would like to say that I think it's perfectly acceptable to throw your own hat in the ring for nomination. Having said all that, there's just one thing left to say:

White Knight for prez... or Oklahoma Chapter leader... whichever is best.
