TP psitioner or FIPL on an IDI '94 Turbo F-250
I havean error code that my TP or FIPL is out of adjustment.
Can anyone tell me where these are at and how to adjust them.
I bought the Diesel book from Haynes and it doesn't mention it. In fact the book doesn't mention a lot!
Thanks, Gambler

To set the FIPL or TPS (as it is called sometimes) is as follows.
The center wire is your test point on the FIPL Dark Green/Light Green wire to ground. You setting should be 1.0-1.1 volts at idle. To do this test turn the key to the "ON" position but engine not running. Then test the voltage on this wire from ground. You must have a good meter to do this test, as it's important that you get it set correctly.
You can also connect an ohm meter to the top and center FIPL terminals and adjust to 1800 ohms +/- 50 ohms.
