A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the password that was required. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said, "twelve." The member replied, "six " and was let in. A second member came to the door and the doorman said, "six." The member replied, "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said ,"ten" and the man replied, "five." But he was not let in.

We have too many riddles going on at one time. Lets see the unanswered ones are:
#1. What weighs more a pound of gold or a pound of feathers? Also what weighs more an ounce of gold or an ounce of feathers?
#2. Last one from me,
There was a green house.
Inside the green house there was a white house
Inside the white house there was a red house.
Inside the red house there were lots of babies.
What is it?
#3. You are in a room with a locked door. There are no other ways out but through the locked door. It is impossible to force the door open. In the center of the room there is a glass of water, a pipe, and some pliers. Also, there is a small hole in the room. It is directly in the center of the room in the floor and it contains a key to the door. The hole is too small to fit your hand into or any of the items listed. How do you get out?
#4. You are in motorless row boat, in the middle of the ocean. You have no means of fire, but you have 3 cigarettes. How do you light them?
That should be all the unanswered questions.

I think you're supposed to light the cigarette off the one currently burning.
As for the pound of gold to a pound of feathers, they weigh the same. An ounce of gold will weigh more than an ounce of feathers because of a different measurement system.

Wouldn't that be a watermelon?? Green on the outside, white just on the inside, then red with a bunch of little seeds, hence the 'babies'???????

Throw one cigarette overboard, which makes the boat "a cigarette lighter".
