Three salesmen go to check into a hotel. The clerk tells them that there is only one room left vacant. So the salesmen decide to split the room. The clerk tells them that the room is thirty dollars. The salesmen pay the thirty dollars and go to there room. A few minutes later the clerk realizes that there is special rate for salesmen and the room only costs $25. So the clerk gives $5 to the bellhop to return to the salesmen. On his way to the room the Bellhop figures that $5 does not divide evenly into three, so the bellhop keeps $2 for himself and gives $1 back to each of the three salesmen. Now, each of the salesmen originally paid $10, they each got $1 back, making the total that they paid $9. $9 times 3= $27 plus the $2 that the bellhop kept = $29. Where is the other dollar?
Well since the cost of the room changed the goal is no longer to reach thirty, but 25. So it should be 9x3=27 minus the 2 the bell hop kept =25. Wait a minute, it took me 20 minutes to get this far and now i'm confused again...

A hole is the correct answer to my riddle. for bigdmizers, they paid 25 for the room each of them got a dollar back, 25+3=28 and the bellhop has 28+2=30. Its cause they figure dont figure in the 2 the bellhop has when they multiply by 3.
You have a small boat large enough for yourself and one other thing. You have a bag of corn, a fox and a goose. You need to cross a lake using the boat and take the corn, fox and goose with you. You have nothing else to help you. How to you get the corn, fox, goose and yourself across the lake?
take the goose, leave goose, return. take the fox, leave fox, return with goose. Leave goose, take corn, leave corn, return. take goose, done.
can't leave goose with fox or goose with corn because something will get eaten.
