I've seen a few broncos with a diamond plate guard at the bottom of the tailgate. I've seen them available for early broncos but where can you get them for big broncos? I've even seen one that wasn't diamond plate, it was smooth aluminum that matches the big aluminum piece in the middle of the tailgate. Where can you get these and how to they attach to the tailgate?
Only diamond cover I've seen was custom made, I think it's in the gallery here. Attachment, velcro strips? I've been throwing around a cover idea too, but it's way on down the list of stuff I want to do. -Triple B
A lot of diamond plate is aluminum, although most is chrome (or not) steel. Best bet would be to screw it on or pop rivet it on. I'd put some sealer across the top edge to keep water from going down there, but leave it unsealed on the bottom. Just in case water does get behind it, then it will drain out.
