color code

The color code my truck has is "M". It's kind of an off white. Anyone,any ideas? Thanks in advance.

M = White

According to my 1977 Ford Truck Shop Manuals

Truck Exterior Color Codes Chart

M: Color = White , Truck Sales Name = Wimbeldon White

Another quick one. My 77 is listed as "M2" it's a two tone white w/reddish orange. Anyone know what that 2 is called?

Color code

I just bought a 1978 F250 Ranger 4X2 with 96,000 original miles. Where is the color code, on the driver side door? What would it start with. My truck is white but not real white white. Also who makes original seat covers and original flooring material. My seat vinyl is perfect but the textured part of the seat has a tear in it. Thanks!!

M2 =

Again, according to my 1977 Shop Manuals:

M2 = Two-Tone

M = Wimbledon White
2 = Medium Copper

Tim, my 77 has the color code on the driver door. It listed the color code as "M". Also the axle code,ect. If it's not there the VIN plate should be on the door jam of the driver door. You stated that your truck is white,but not white white. It may be the same color as mine. My color code being "M" as ethomps helped me with is wimbledon white. It's kind of an off white, like eggshell or goverment white. Hope this helps you some

The pretty Oxford White didn't come along until the 80's I believe. It is paint code 9L on my 88 Stang. If you put the two side by side, there is a big difference.
