Well, I got a call from my dealership, a device that they hook up to my vehicle finally came in and they want to hook it up and see if it will tell them where my vibration is coming from.I think the dealership is trying to help but from all the post I've red so far I havent heard of anyone that has had their vibration completely fixed ,So I started the process of filing a request with the dispute settlement board .I JUST CAN'T DRIVE THS TRUCK MUCH LONGER THIS WAY. H as onyone out there gone thru thi process for the vibration problem
I finally had the vibration dampener installed. The object was to eliminate that shudder and quiver I get after hitting a bump. I guess it did do some of that, but ironically now the truck has a new continuous slight vibration even on the smoothest roads...where it is the most frustrating. So it's got to all be related.
I was driving on a very smooth road. I was resting my elbow on the door (on that little ridge where the window goes down into the door). I just finished dinner and was picking a piece of food out of my teeth with my fingernail. By slightly touching my teeth, I could feel a constant vibration throughout the truck. My fingernail was rattling against my teeth. The truck never did settle.
I'd like to come up with a poor man's Richter Scale to put in these things. I bet it would show constant vibration. It could be compared to other trucks and used to get Ford to address this problem. Any good ideas?
Try a piece of guitar/ piano wire. Tape it vertically to the dash and watch for the wire to wiggle. If its a resonance type vibration the wire will amplify the vibration visually. I can't think of a particular size, if its to thick it wont vibrate to thin and it wont stand up. The length will make a difference also. Go to a music shop and look at what they have. I'd start with about a 6' piece after you bend a perpendicular loop at one end to secure it to the dash. Play around with it, I've seen people use this on small airplanes to show engine vibes in flight.
I notice a vibration when my first knuckle of my right hand rests against the septum of my left nostril. I only notice it while my truck is on cruise control, and I have my four way flashers on after using Irish spring soap during a luke warm shower. Anyone else notice this problem?

Yep, set myself up for that one. All in fun. But I'm sure the "vibrators" here can appreciate what I was describing. Cause ya have to admit it's pretty sad when you can't pick the food out of your teeth!
