I have heard about people sound proofing their cabs on Powerstrokes to keep the engine noise out of the cab. Does anyone know about this or know where at in MO you could get it done? thanks for any info JL
I just had the doors in my Sport Trac done to deaden the road noise. DreamGear Car Audio here in St. Joseph did the job. Their number is (816) 233-6663, make sure you ask for Brandon and tell him Devin sent you there. I don't know what your full size truck would run, mine was around $350 but the road noise on the interstate is nearly invisible now. Truck is so quiet now.
Did you get to make the call? If not he'll be at work the next two days. He is in-and-out quite a bit, don't worry you'll eventually run him down.
He does superb work. Tell him exactly what noise you are wanting to "deaden". He knows his stuff and is a really nice guy to top it off. To give you some background, he has been installing car stereos for close to 15 years (maybe longer). In that time he has built many many IASCA and USAC sanctioned vehicles. He has built a demo vehicle for JVC! And is currently working on a golf cart for, I think for Bazooka or some other company that will be at an upcoming national show. It has monitors, DVD and so on.....Rodney Dangerfield would be seriously jealous! LOL
He installed two trophy winning systems for me about 10 years ago. He is a perfectionist and when you are ready to an audio video system (if you ever do) take it to him.....HE IS THE MAN!
