I wish my thump, thump sound and vibe would go away after the tires warmed up. I drove 30 minutes on a smooth interstate last night and between 58-63 I getting my thump and vibe. I watched my steering wheel and observed the feed back. I do not get any shimmy in the wheel until I hit 60 and it usually goes away after 70. The faster I go the smoother everything gets. I have faith in my dealer that it will get resolved.
I am sorry to hear that your vibration and noise problems do NOT go away as your tires warm up to maximum pliability. I wish I had the "quick-fix" answer for you....but I don't.
Please continue to work with your dealers and have faith in their diagnostic and service capabilities. Ford Motor Company is a HUGE corporation, and they and their dealers really do care that you are having these "problems". I am confident that in a "reasonable amount of time", they will find and fix the cause of your vibration "problems".
I hope YOU and EVERYBODY at FTE have a VERY Happy Easter!!
i had the general tires on my 2004 STX 4x4 and also had tire vibration in the morning on the way to work, 1st mile or 2 and it would go away. i just bought a set of lariet wheels and BFG tires off ebay which look a lot nicer and as an added bonus, got rid of all the shaking.
