been there dont that.....haha, i started a thread about this about 6 months ago haha.
but, i am right on my way.
1966 scout 800
305 camed and ported 300hp and 350 lb-ft
D44 4.56 spooled w/disc
12 Bolt 4.56 Spooled w/ drum
np205
sm465
39.5 tsls on rockcrusher beadlocks.
im also going to use some F150 rear leafs all the way around and a spring over set up. im gunna use the power steering and power brakes off of a transam and everything. most bad *** scout ever hahaha. when i get the money im going to sell the D44 and the 12, for a set of D60s. but not for a while.
oh ya.....and a BB too someday...but im in college and have to do all this for under 2000 hahah
i wouldn't have just one. I would have several, couple of mud trucks, trail rigs, raock crawlers, sand sccoters! Just not enough time/money! If I had the money I would finish my Bronco cause that is a very capable 4x4 from the factory!
EB frame and fiberglass body, hybrid D70/9" hi-pinion ARB 40 spline up front, hybrid D80/9" hi-pinion ARB 40 spline in back, 14-71 blown 572 w/enderle fuel injection and a 500 shot of juice, C-6 w/ dana 300 TC, King coilovers all the way around, beadlocked 44" Boggers, CAT yellow, electric-over-hydraulic power steering, I cound go on...
....leans over and smacks jeremy alongside the noggin...
Well, my dream 4x4 would have to be an M1-A1 tank. Killer off road capability, supreme jeep crushing goodness, and the ability to blow the yuppies in their H2s who are broke down clean off the trail.

Dude that rules. I like the way you think. Death to H2's and the **** that drive them.
OK, as far as realisticly for me in the future this is what I'd like to build for starters:
72 250 hi-boy reg cab long bed.
460 w/ headers and 3" tubes turned behind cab
NP 435 trans with NP 205
D60's on both ends with 5.13s and spooled.
37x13 boggers on 16x10's
Home made pipe and plate bumpers on both ends with W12000
quad 50's in the bed
Oh boy...hmm lets see 70' bronco, king coilovers all around, unimog 404 portal axles, fully hydraulic steering front and rear, blown 514 on nitrous, 53'' michelins, low center of gravity, beadlocks, on board air, full exocage, the list goes on....
although its not a ford, i hafta say that factory stock unimogs are pretty badass. well, unimogs are pretty badass period, i would definately buy one if i had the extra cash sittin around.
