I was in the basement/shop making armrests for my truck to match the birch trim i made a few months ago, when terror struck.
As i unclamped the armrest from the bench, the cast c-clamp dropped from the table and landed smack dab on my toe. OUCH.
My father had to come into the shop to tell me to stop swearing.
After limping around and shaving this thing down, it didn't really come out as well as i hoped anyway. Bah, maybe i'll just put the old armrests in. We'll see after i get this one stained and coated...
I really did wanna have these birch armrests though...
Also am puting some rubber matting as sound dampener in the doors...
I had a 10 lb plate fall of the rack and land on my toe when I used to go to the gym....for about 1/2 an hour I thought I was going to hurl. Not a good feeling.
Sorry about your foot, man, but i am really interested in those armrests. Can you post some pics of them when you get them done? I think you should move ahead with the plans you started with, BTW, cause it sounds quite original. Good luck with the toenail!
