I sense somebody was having a bad night,My cat never pees in the house, the only one that ever did,was because some human did not empty his litterbox and then left him trapped in the house all day.My cat loves to box, will take on anybody, anytime, anywhere.Even my friends that dont like cats, like roscoe, yup, thats his name Roscoe P Coaltrain. My dog,a Lab,three times his size, knows when to run.If roscoe decides to try and get up on the table, and the little woman yells at him,he turns around and tells her off.I sometimes wish I could speak cat!I have taught him to sit and beg like a squirrel,I whistle and he comes running,if I go somewhere,he is always sitting on the window ledge waiting for me to come home.I know its hard for some people to grasp how anybody could love a cat,but roscoe is more human than some humans! And if anyone tried to bury him,my dog would simply dig him up,clean him off,and escort him back to the house.Wish we humans could cross those stereotype boundries.

P.S. Are you still mad, because Simba wooped all those hyenas butts?

Dear Archer1

My name is Roscoe P Coaltrain, and well yes,I`m a cat,First, please excuse any typo`s because I have to type fast, while my human is making himself another cup of coffee,(yuck!how can they drink that stuff,I`d rather cough up a furball).I have just read your mean words and thought you should know,I have just called all my buddies in your neighborhood(they were all at a cathouse)and told them what you said.So please be advised, when your house becomes overrun by mice, dont call us we`ll claw you!Gota go here he comes!

P.S.Are you still mad because you didn`t get the lead role in small soldiers?

Doesn't sound like any cat I've ever seen or known. Are you sure it was a cat and not a skunk, PePe LePew?

My wife has been on my butt for quite a while now to make one for our cats...... AND they DO quite often pee and poo wherever they want when they want, whether you clean the boxes or not! I've had to rip up several hundred square feet of carpet that was previoiusly in outstanding condition because of the cats potty habits. I suspect it's because of too many cats in one house having territorial disputes!! I've enjoyed having cats most of my life, but lately my opinion of them has been less than good. I'm not going to include any graphic details of animal abuse, nor do I harm our cats, but I certainly can sympathize with archer1 on this one! Although I gripe about them, they can still make me laugh with their antics!

If anybody has any pictures of their cat tree creations could you include a link or something? I've got a few ideas, but wanted to eyeball a few others before the wife forces me to do this thing!

Here is one picture and a second picture of the thing I built for my cat. It's about 4 ft high and has a 2ftX2ft base with two corners lopped off so I don't break any toes. There are two lower levels and an upper turret. She especially likes the scratching pad on the front post.

I just used 1/2" staples to attach the carpet, and nails on the scratching piece. Another great idea is to use the legs off of old jeans for scratching material -- can't get much cheaper than that.

Edit: I should probably mention that this most likely cost as much as buying a similar thing from a pet store (even using remnant carpeting), but where's the challenge in that?

Sorry to all cat lovers

Guys guys guys don't get me wrong here i simply stated something about a CAT ;-) and maybe i was a little to graphic. To those i offended i apologize. It may have been a little overboard but i have my reasons. I will state just one.
While on patrol in 1971 in vietnam we (our patrol) was sneaking up on one of charlies camps and as we setup this huge gray cat came by me and another guys hiding with me. Well this cat freaked out and gave away our position, well my friend took a round in the chest (lived) and i took one in the upper arm. The only good thing to come out of it was that i (please don't take offence here) got to take the cat out. We did manage to clear the camp but man a CAT?. Its a hard story to believe but it happened. I will steer clear of any cat posts in the future and avoid any issues. Again sorry and i do apologize to cat lovers everywhere.
