How well do your animals get along?

My 120lb lab Thor and our 4 cats get along surprisingly well. Thor loves the cats and even lets them sleep in his bed! They lay in the grass together and play fight sometimes too... it's really quite cute. We have these two twin kittens (one sister named them Tater and Tot, but my other sister re-named them Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx ) who follow us whenever we leave the house. When my parents go for walks in the evenings, the cats follow them. I took Thor for a walk yesterday and the twins stalked us the whole way! Everyone we walked by thought it was really strange, but cute.

Does anybody else have odd-couple animals?

(We used to have a big cat and a gerbil that seemed to get along pretty well... until one day we found the gerbil out of his cage... in the cat's mouth!)

My daughter currently lives with us and brought her cats and Healer when she moved in. After my Mal asserted herself as the BOSS, everyone gets along pretty well.

I used to have an Amazon parrot and a tiger striped cat that would sleep together. The parrot was on an open perch and would fly over and lay next to the cat on the bed. Pretty funny sight to see a parrot grooming a cat.

I have two black labs, technically they're cousins.

Get along fantastic. The female is about a year and 1/2 older so she spent that time on her own until we got the 2nd dog (male). She is a very intellegent dog and training the 2nd dog was a piece of cake. They drink out of the same bowl, share food, always loving to eachother and it's great.

i used to have a huge yellow and white tom cat and my uncle had a very large yellow lab, the dog weighed over 150 pounds and they became such good friends it was crazy... the cat would even ride in the back of the truck with the dog... its funny when u see a cat trying to lean over the edge and then the wind hits him (cats hate wind in thier ears) i would laugh every time... and i would even catch his swimming in the cattle tank on hot days... we call came to call him the dog trapped in a cats body.. until my dad hit him with his truck...

Actually, quite well, my 150lb King German Sheppard and my 240lb brother get into it every once and a while. My brother usually starts it, so he gets locked in his cage for the afternoon.

The dog loves our two cats, the cats hate the dog though, so we keep them seperate.

I dont have anymore pets and when I did own pets it was only one at a time. My brothers have an odd combination of animals that get along real well. One of my brothers thinks that he is running a shelter for strays and picks up any stray cats that he can find in the neighborhood. My other brother has a chow, a dachsound, and a mini pinch and they all seem to get along well, even with the cats.

We have 2 dogs and three cats that get along swimingly, the cats will even rub themselves against the dogs and purr.

We also have a pet crow named Merlin that everyone else is deathly afraid of (The animals at any rate)....

One of our cats will actually let my wive's cocatiel sit on him, but you can see in his eyes that he'd rather eat him.

I have a Siamese cat, a dog, and a hedgehog. I'm still not sure if they like each other. From what I can see of their interaction, the cat tolerates the dog because he's free body heat, and she pretends the hedgehog doesn't exist. The dog on the other hand, seems to think the cat is either a play toy or food. And he thinks the hedgehog is caged up food that he'll be able to eat one day. The hedgehog just hates everyone.

I have 2 cats and and 2 fish tanks of fish. Its wierd the cats dont even think about the tanks. wont even go into the boys room or ours where the tanks are. The cats go to the local park and snag fish 2 or 3 times a week and bring them home.

We own two horses, one is a 20 year old thoroughbred and the other is a 12 year old quarter horse. They live in separate stalls at least 100 yards apart, but when both are out for excercise or a bath they like to hang out together. They were bought 3 years apart and don't who owns who or what. Both are gelded males. Even the owner of the barn thinks it is a bit unusual.

My brother's Lab gets along with his wife's 2 cats just fine. The dog has never hurt any of the cats. She will push them over with her feet, but never harm them.
When I used to take my Lab over to his house, she would sniff the cats and try to find them, but she never hurt them. I think she was too busy trying to figure out what in the heck they were. I think that at first she thought they were stuffed animals or dog toys and then once they would move she was like, "WTF???".
Sometimes she would get close to them and I would say to her, "Maggie, be nice." Then she would sniff them a few times and that was it. After a while, she really lost intrest in the kittys.

My cattle seem to get along pretty well... at least until it comes to feeding time. Then it's every cow for themselves.

And the heifers seem to get on extremely well with the bull sometimes...
