Is there a simple way to set the float level in a Motorcraft 2150 2bbl carb? It's on a '78 f150 4x4 351M engine. I fixed a major flooding problem (hunk of something jamming the needle) but in the process I changed the float level. I have it level now but not sure what the exact way to do it would be.
The only way I know of to adjust the float on these carb's is by bending the metal arm that the float is attached to. Rebuild kits come with a "L" shaped measure that you use. The rebuild instructions tell you how many 1/16's of an inch the top of the float should be from the top of the bowel housing.

Hope this helps,
Thanks Lee. I don't have the rebuild kit (don't need one now). Adjusting it's no problem, I just don't know where it's supposed to be so I've got it where the top of the float is level in the reservoir when the needle is seated and it's got gas in it. Best I can do without the gauge I guess.
