Throttle position switch
I have just replaced my tps switch and am wondering if there is anything i should have done prior to installing the switch other than just putting the new one in. I had an engine scan telling the tps was bad. I put the new one in and dont notice any difference. The engine light is still on, the front end shakes when trying to switch into od.

Did you disconnect the battery when changing the throttle position sensor? Disconnecting the battery will clear old trouble codes and reset the check engine light. Also something like a bad wire between the sensor and computer could cause a TPS code even if the TPS is good.
It would be helpful if you supply additional info, such as year,model, engine, mileage.
