Have they got the problems with the 6.0s turbo straightened out yet?

I was talking to a guy that claims the turbo "crapped out" (his words) the entire motor....Ford replacing the motor for him.

 

The turbos are running a lot better but there 10,000 or so already out there, so there are going to be some problems. And to make matters worse, the turbos are in short supply which means the customer may have to wait for parts. Keep in mind too that this variable geometry turbo (VGT) is realitively new and we are likely to have some "growing pains" with it. Now that the injector fiasco is behind us, I think the turbos and EGR valves are going to be our biggest headaches. That is the (potentially) bad news. The good news is they are not hard to change.
