fuel pump or selector valve
My 85 f250 acts like it is running out of gas when I switch tanks it runs fine for about 30 seconds then start all over again. Is this the fuel pumps or the fuel selector valve? I have replaced the fuel filter. I need help!

It's probably a buildup of crud in the tanks, or maybe the little piece of foil from additive bottles. I would get a five gallon gas can, disconnect one of the fuel lines, either front or rear, and then jumper that pump on. If the flow remains steady, it could be a problem with the valve, but if the flow slows, there probably is something in the tank plugging the pickup.
