Auto Door Locks

Question for the Guru's---
My old 99 f150 ext cab Lariat had power door locks that would automatically lock once I hit ~20mph.

My 2000 f250 crew cab Lariat has power door locks, but will not lock automatically. Was this an "extra" power door lock option, or should mine be working?

mine used to on my 99 and 03 sd until i had an aftermarkrt alarm put on them i hated them wearing out my power locks

If you have the factory keyless entry in your truck most likely the auto-lock is turned off. Look in the owners manuel for how to enable it. If you don't have factory keyless entry then your truck will not auto lock unless you put in a aftermarket keyless entry unit.

Door Locks

The automatic door lock and reminder chime to fasten your seat belt may be enabled/disabled by a sequence described on page 95 of the 2002 owners manual. Kind of hard to find buried in all of the safety warning stuff.

My 03 has auto lock when drive more than 5 MPH and has keyless remote and still lock the doors when you drive. Yes you can enable or disable the auto lock and chime for seat belt if you follow the owner manual.
