flexplates???
where can I buy a flexplate for my 390 fe? I bought a torque converter and a c-6 trans. to replace my two speed in my 62 mercury monterey. when I went to separate the old torque converter from the flexplate there were only three bolts not four like the new torque converter. Any help would be appriciated.

Have you searched out a parts store that carries Pioneer ? Any of the larger national chains should be able to order you the correct 'plate. You'll want to make sure that you use the correct starter with your new plate and tranny, the old ones ( pre 65 ? ) were differant and the tooth count on the flexplates and flywheels changed at the same time. DF
