What is the best way to store sockets? I have a few different sets who's containers have long since been lost that I want to keep organized and accessible.
There are:
To sets of 1/2 (6 and 12 point STD) each from 3/8 to 1 1/2.
Two sets of 3/8 (metric and STD) from 6mm to 19mm and 3/16 to 9/16.
And finally two sets of 1/4 (metric and STD) from 4mm to 19mm and 1/8 to 1/2.
All of the sets are fairly large since they have wierd ones like 11/32, 25/32, 4.5, 5.5, or 6.5.
I know I can just put a ton of nails on the wall but I am looking for something more creative.
I've got hundreds of sockets too, sae, metric, impact, deep, etc. The best method for me are those little flat Craftsman holders with a rubber handle. This keeps them separated and just as importantly, allows for quick transport of a large number....take the whole rack rather than heading back to the box each time another socket is needed.
My impact sockets are in a plastic case, but my regular sockets are on a rail that is described by buzzard. If you're close to a sears, they are only a few bucks and you can get extra clips that slide onto the rail if it doesn't come with enough.
