Definately go with the highest capacity stand you can afford, even if you dont need one that strong. Its nice to have that extra safety margin. Ive had a stand fail. its not pretty.
From what ive seen in tools, anything painted orange, or with orange or flourescent handles, tends to be junk!

My homemade one is the "T" style and it holds a big block fine, but I could see where you could get into trouble when trying to move it around. I think I may put a cross piece on the forward leg to give it some more stability.
What about casters. They are also impacted by weight. Cheap wheels and the stand won't roll worth a damn.
