Got my wicked wheel installed today. I don't really have a word to describe the difference it made on my truck. It kicks butt. With two T's. If there were three T's like buttt it could do that too. But really, no stutter/surge, quick spooling, I would definitely recommend this to anyone, 60 bucks and worth every penny!
Spitter,
What year is your truck. I have an "02" and I will be installing mine this weekend by myself. (No kids or friends, and neighbors act like they like me, they don't, can't blame them, that's another story or two) anyway, any tips, tricks, shortcuts?
My wife is a car dealer, and the mechanic we use charged 80 bucks, but that was for brakes, oil change and that. The only problem I saw was getting to the back bolts, and for some odd reason the wastegate was stuck shut whenever we restarted it. But I will swear by that little wheel, I am running the 60 hp Diablo program, and had what I would call a big problem with stutter. Any to me is big, another friend of mine lost an engine to it after it stalled completely. He was racing a Duramax and he said it sounded like a bomb went off. But I questioned him before about the stutter/surge whatever your term of choice was and he thought it to be just a normal noise with the turbo. After putting mine on, it spools up and no stutter whatsoever, mine is a 2000 model.
