CB Antennas

My 2000 250 SD is due in next month and I was looking at CB antennas. I was
curious if I could mount the standard mirror mount brackets on the
telescoping mirrors? Will the movement of the mirrors affect the bracket?

Being a Ham, I can answer that from the radio standpoint. If the telescoping mirror mounts have a plastic exterior like the standard mirror mounts, then the answer is no, because the CB antenna mount must have a direct connection to the vehicle metal for the antenna to work correctly. Any metal mirror mount will work fine as long as it has a solid electrical connection to the vehicle body, and of course if it has the structural strength. I have the standard plastic trailer mirror mounts on my 99 250 SD, not sure yet what kind of a mount I will use.
