Unhappy parts interchangeability

HI i was wondering if any parts from a 81 f-150 would fit onto a 87 f-150. I know the engine parts will not intercgange but what about the transmission, rearend, doors, windshield, springs.... The reason i am asking this is because i was offered a 81 f-150 for 50 dollars for parts and i need a windshield and soem door parts. Thanks for any info.

i wouldn't count on door parts to be the same but you never know. windsheild is doutful. but the trannie has a good chance you can use it. im almost possitive you can use the rear end and the springs.

I do not think a whole lot will interchange because the body style changed in 86 interior and all if i am thinking right.

The metal skin was almost identical from 80 to 96 on the 1/2 tons. Most of the sheet metal will interchange it will just look a little different. Some parts are the same some with small changes. Some are completly different

Grab that truck for $50. Even if you can't use too many parts from it, you can easily make that back selling parts off it.

You got parts you needed & profitted $150.00 already.

Just imagine all the other parts there that can be sold.
