This clip is further inside the hub, just follow the splines on the axle and you'll see a c-clip. Once you pop the clip off there should be 3 washers, slide those out and now you can slide the cam assembly out. Once that is out you'll see a retaining key that holds the wheel retainer nut. Get the key out with needlenose pliers and then you'll need a 2 1/2 inch socket to take the nut out.
Just out of curiosity, did you get the conversion kit? This kit consists of 4 nuts and 2 lock rings. Let me know. Sorry for the slow response, computer acting up.
Sorry it took so long to get back.....I ran in to another proplem....my neighbor is reading the instructions and it seems that the verson that he is holding calls for a beer every other step.......Time to loose the neighbor I think (still like the instructions) Try again in the AM.
There you go!, pictures at this site from bigric explains better than words. Good job bigric.
Tidybowl, if that locknut pictured is the same one you have then you don't need that conversion kit.
Well I got the hubs replaced (thanks for the link bigric) it only took me a day and a half on the passenger side and 20 min on the driver side. I also returned the conversion kit (not needed). Hummm what to spend that $60 on......
