Isn't it amazing how just one letter can have such an affect on a person's life. I've been talking to a girl that is younger than me and is a senior in high school. She is waiting to get a letter from Rodchester university saying that she is either accepted or denied. If she is acceted she will go to Rodchester and that will be the end of the relationship. If the letter unforentually says that she is denied, she will go to the college i am going to and we will probilily start dating. Who would ever beleave that such a simple letter would have such a great affect on so many lives.
You will be amazed about how many times something like this will happen during your life. You will also be amazed (after you get much older) that most of them don't mean much. Live your life, and don't get too concerned about things you cannot change. Worry about the things you can change.
What I find amazing Chris is that you're about to enter college and your spelling is simply atrocious.
Back the truck up. What brought this on. I am not good at spelling, nor have i ever clamed to be. We are all good at some things and bad at other things. That is life.

Don't worry about spelling. I couldn't spell my way out of a wet paper bag. Besides every paper I had to hand in in school, was typed out, and therefore I used the spell checker.
I still use spell checker on everything work or profesional related. I DON'T' use one here.

Chris,
Sorry if I sounded overly harsh, it wasn't meant to be personal. My comment was more aimed at what one can escape in our schools today that one couldn't when I was a lad. People will judge you on this sort of thing and to suggest that "that's life" doesn't sound like you care to improve. No one ever got good at anything without effort. Best of luck.
This could be related to anything, from a credit report to a test run by the hospital. A life-changing matter/event is always waiting for us right around the corner. How you are prepared to handle it is the key.
BTW - Take sinjin's remark as one made from someone that's already been there and has seen life and what it has to offer. We all have ways to improve - even sinjin. If he was apathetic he would have never typed a word.
The Fife,
I know what you are talking about. I had an interview today, and I am already more nervous waiting for the decision than I was for the interview itself.
If you're talking about the answer from the university, 4-5 months is pretty quick. The best schools, or at least the ones everyone thinks are the best, get many applications for each single opening, and they take a while to sort through them. They also wait as long as possible, to get all the apps they can, so they can choose the best students. Or at least the ones they think are most able to pay. Me--various state colleges/universities in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Not famous, but not horribly expensive, and no waiting list.
