will a vacum leak in the brake booster, (that sounds like where it's coming from) make my truck loose power it runs but is down on power now, any one have any experiance with this? I spose I will need to buy a new one.
I had a leaky brake booster once, and it didn't seem to affect engine performance. I had a leaky brake booster hose and that did affect engine performance particularly at idle the way all vacuum leaks cause poor idle.
Pull the hose and plug it and see if there is any difference.
Thanks for the help, I did replace the hose which helped, but the sound is more notice able when I use the brakes and I am sure that is where it is.
This is run off of the manifold so if it is leakinf inside would it be sucking air in some how and causing the power loss.
