I had the local Ford garage install daylight running light module in my new F150Scab, I allready had the automatic lights in the package when I purchased the Truck. But I wanted lights to run in the day ergo the new module. What I don't like about it, and don't know if it can be corrected, is that they placed a new light sensor on my dash to go with this new module. I thought they would just conect to my allready installed autolight system. I intend to complain, but wanted to run it past you first, I can't believe that the could not use the existing light sensor, the new one is just two faced tape on the dash with a wire sticking out.
It looks like an add on a 16yrs old kid would do, I would like to look at the instructions for the install, I will bet the tech did not even think of hooking it up to the allready installed light sensor
I received the same DRL kit as trkyhntr. I also had auto on. Beats me why the "extra" eye. But I don't care for the "obstruction", on the top of the dash.
Took the truck back to the dealership, they say you have to have this other sensor, but I did have them move it. It is now on the inside molding aiming out towards the windshield, by the drivers grap bar. You don't see it and it functions, also had them tune the lights out at night down to 30 seconds, it was about 1min 30 sec. I am happy now!
