5.4 Air Intake

Is there a silencer on the air intake on a 5.4L SD? I've heard on the 150's there's one in the tube between the air filter and the throttle body.
Took mine off the other day and couldn't see anything. Also, any thoughts on after market exhaust for my 00 250 SD CC 5.4L ?? The stock systems fits good and don't want to *******ize anything?????

Hutch,

I've taken mine all apart too and really can't see anything in the way. I guess there isn't one. You might try Borla, Gibson, Dynomax and Flowmaster on your cat-back choices.
