New Gauges Installed (White Inserts)

you just place the white gauge material over the existing. They come a little bigger than needed to account for variations in manufacturing the stock cluster. Pop the needles, put the white gauge in place(with adhesive) and put the needles back on.
The light will still shine through the gauge where it currently does with the black gauges, but it won't have the transparent affect like the pic above.
