I bought these from a guy on Ebay for cheap! They are white inserts that can either go over the old black stuff(for front lighting) or peel the old blacks off and put these on(for behind panel lighting). That's what I did.
I put in blue dash bulbs and it looks cool at night.
it only took about 1 hr to do. I chose to pull the old black gauge plastic off to put this in. You take the bezel off and pull the clear plastic cover off the cluster. Each section comes out separately...speedo, fuel, tach. CAREFULLY pop the needles off (instructions say to turn the key to ON to draw a diagram of where the needles are so you remember).
Since I chose to pull the old black stuff off, all i did was pull it off and place the new gauge backing on and trim it so correct size for each gauge insert. Then just put it back together.
You can choose to leave the black stuff on and put this over it...but I like the way the light shines through. THough you can see the shadow of the actual gauge workings behind it. THey aren't stickers, just thick paper/laminate so they won't warp or peel in the heat.
It may sound like a lot...but its not. I really don't think it even took an hour once I got started.
You can see the blue on the left side of the cluster. I need to get more blue bulbs to replace the rest...but you get the idea. Sorry for the bad pic..$20 digital camera.
Hmmm the ones I bought you only had to tap a power source, no blue bulbs for me..... a lot less work in my opinion.
I don't think you were supposed to peel off the stock gauge faces!
Also you took the needles off, a big no no.
Your gauges read that you are going 9 MPH @ 100 RPM without any electrical power with near high oil pressure at normal operating temp and you need to find a gas station.

My oil pressure gauge is grounded because I have a mechanical gauge in my center console...along with temp and volt gauges...
My fuel really is almost empty...
My speedo is set at 5mph to compensate for the 5mph loss that I have due to tires...
But the tach was put back at 100 by mistake....
As I said earlier, You don't have to take the old stuff off...it gives you the option to do it so they are more transparent. And yes you do need to take the needles off, but that's really not all that hard, and it's easy to put back...just turn the key to the on position and put them where you drew them when you made your diagram before you began.
Its a cheap alternative to paying $60+ for gauges!
