emmision plumming
kool sight had to be a member, cause i got a 99 sd sc lb w/ a V10. got flowmaster single out cat back on it, and just got some stone headers for it. also got the mr. gasket 7575 gaskets. im lookin at the plumming goin in the driver side manifold and woundering what people are doing with it. any help would be great. the thing rips now, but just playin the tune'in game. i'll have some picks early in the week jsut got my membership today.
thanks for the reply monsta! i'm going to install these new headers on my truck. this is an "off highway truck" of course. i want to know what to do with the tube that comes off the manifold on the drivers side. do you just cap it off. is there anything on the passenger side like it. i couldnt see anything. do you have them on your rig? thanks again.
That tube off the manifold is for your EGR valve. You can cap it off. You may have to fool a sensor so that you don't get a Check Engine light.
I really don't know much about emission stuff, other than what its function is.

If the headers are stainless then don't even try to weld onto them. I'm haveing the same issue right now. I'm trying to see if they make an extension kit for the EGR to a lower point on the exhaust. I'll let you now if I find anything.

No problem with welding on stainless with a # 9 bottle of tri mix and your tig or mig.
A good welding and fab shop should be able to help you with the mods on the headers if you know what you want done exzactly.
