96 Explorer suddenly won't start!!

I need some help troubleshooting a problem that suddenly occured. I started up the truck with no hesitaion or rough idle and let it warm up for about 5-10 min. and drove it with no problem about 2 miles where I stopped to get coffee. When I came back about 10 min later the truck would crank very strong, but would not start. I left the truck and came back about 3 hours later and it started up just fine and ran great for about two days. Now it won't start again. There is no check engine light on. I'm thinking it is possibly the fuel filter, but I am new to this truck and don't have an owner's manual. Any suggestions would be very helpful because I just don't want to turn it over to a mechanic blindly if it is a simple solution.

Most likely the Fuel filter or fuel pump. I had the same problem

When you first turn the key to the on position, you should hear the fuel pump run for a second or two. If you don't hear it, then you may have a fuel pump or relay issue.
