Some of the generators I work on have a turbo powered v-10 Way cool to run them up on the loadbank and listen to the turbo spool. They are usually running around 3000 rpm's. Biggest thing in my mind would be the exhaust system. Once you get by that you should be all set.

Can you get some picture of the turbo set up. Who manufactures the gens? They have to be making the turbo set up or buying it from some one, either way that means there is a system already built for the V10
I dont know when I will see a v-10 turbo gen next. I can get part numbers, they are I believe ford turbos, well I know for doesnt make turbos but they come on the engine when generac puts them on to there generators. Let me do some re search and I will post back.
hey guys I have put the clutch in I put a centerforce dualfriction clutch now I have to wait 450-500 mile before it can go back on the dyno....so I have to drive with it un tune because the first pull it blew the stock clutch...it made 390hp and 480 torque at 3800 rpm with stock comp settings running way fat....it was still climbing when it hit rev limit and mile limit...it has deoblo tune but is still kinda ruff....it was not that hard to do just working out the pipeing if anyone is seriously intrested I will help all I can it was not cheap....I also hav a methanole setup as well I have not used it yet.......I will keep u guys posted.....don't let any one tell u it is stupid to do just because its not a lightning when I am done I will line up any day with one...I am also building a motor with forged inturnals and have ordered cams which were 699 per cam.......
Let us know also about fuel mileage. Does it improve a little or alot. Or not at all.
I am still looking for the generator info. I know i have it somewhere, just got to find it.
I will this week I used 39 pound cobra injectors I don't know on thefuel miliage because its not tuned I think a gen motor is different......on that u don't need a blow off vaulve or a wastegate......
stumbled across this forum today and decided to sign up currently I am running a 2003 turboed v10 crew cab that I did last October at 7 lbs with stock motor it made 383 hp and 585 ft lbs at the rear wheels. pulled the motor due to some weak points and will be turning the boost up to a small goal of 500hp 850 ft lbs and yes the sound is awesome turns heads every time so far the biggest down fall I have found is the intake wow is that restrictive been looking for someone that makes an aftermarket one with no luck most likely will send it off to be extrude honed to port match the heads also plan to put a E85 tune on it as well this has been a fun project but expensive plan on doing some changes on the turbo placement as well to help in the spool up
