All right, I am one of the few who ordered one with on a gas V10, but I can't find the friggin thing! I have looked all over the engine compartment, behind the bumper, everywhere and I can't figure out where to plug this bad boy in.
Is there some kind of cable conversion kit that the dealer is\was supposed to give me?
The manual says driver side, my dealers service guy said passenger side. HELP!
Even though it was less than $40 its on the window sticker, it should be there.
Any help finding this is greatly appreciated!

I ALSO HAVE A V10,THE LOCATION OF THE PLUG END MAY BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT ON THE SUPER DUTY LARIAT DUE TO THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR WIRING SHARING THE SAME PATH, BUT MY 2000 PLUG END IS JUST TO THE RIGHT OF THE LICENSE PLATE MOUNT AND TUCKED UP A BIT.
I opened the cap on the plug, and found it full of water! Many others have had the same problem. Kind of makes sense, due to it's location. Do yourself a favor, and pack the whole thing with vaseline or grease. Otherwise, if you ever needed it, it would be froze solid in an ice cube.
Went to the dealer Saturday, after two mechanics, service manager, and finally the shop manual, discovered that the factory never installed it.
The final deciding factor was that the heating element itself was never installed. It goes on the drivers side of the block were the number 2 freeze plug is.
I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of having one installed, let alone the potential for problems afterwards.(Removing the freeze plug, etc.)
Now I just need to see what the dealer/Ford plans on doing since I did pay for it, with tax and interest.
Thanks to all for your help in trying to track this down, I will let you know what happens next.
IT IS ALL ORIGINAL IF YOU GET IT FROM THE DEALER> It's a class product and I did it myself. Takes 5 minutes once it is drained. Costs $50 if you have to buy it off the shelf.
You paid about $27, They will have at least that into it.
