You have to carefully pry off the rectangular plastic trim piece. Underneath is a screw holding a plastic cover in place over the light bulb. Remove that to replace the bulb.
The metal portion, the forward section, of the dash can be removed fairly easily but you need a stubby Phillips screwdriver or an offset ratchet screwdriver to reach the 4 screws along the windshield side. It has been awhile since I did this but if I recall, to remove the "doghouse" section over the instrument cluster, you only need to remove the two screws on either side of the steering column and the two on the backside of the "doghouse". You do NOT need to remove the two instrument "pods" - washer/wiper and heater controls You pull the doghouse off to expose 4 other screws holding the dash cover in place. (The '91 and earlier models are so easy to get under dash access compared to later models with the one-piece dash covers.) The speakers are easily accessed at this point.
Good luck!
