Ok- There is a mystery part or solenoid that I'm not familiar with. I am attaching a picture - maybe somebody can identify it for me. It is in the back passenger side corner of the engine compartment. Thank you for your help...

Reason: trying to upload picture
Is it a vacuum operated diaphram with a lever coming out of it? If so then it closes off outside air when you turn your A/C on max. This allows the a/c to recycle the air inside the truck which is already somewhat cool so it will get colder faster, instead of constantly cooling the HOT HUMID air from outside. IN the winter I tie wrap mine shut so I'm not heating outside air, truck blows hotter air and heats up inside quicker.
If that's not what you were talking about then ????????
mmm..... close but no a/c-heater function selector vacuum valve, you'll notice when you move the vent, floor, a/c,max a/c ect.. **** so dose this not-so mystery part
