I am putting lift springs on all 4 corners of my 79 and want to go with dual adjustable shocks on each corner. I ordered a skyjckr part #ds300 but I dont really like it. It is just another shock tower you mount behind the other one and a plate that mounts on the bottom of the u-bolt under axle. I was wanting a dual front shok kit like the superdutys. lower shock mount on top of springpack with dual eye mounts. upper, frame mount bar with dual eye mounts. Does anyone know if the superduty kit will work on my aplication? or if there is another company that makes a kit like this for my old F250? Also I want to put an adjustable trac-bar on the front. has anyone used an adjustable trac bar for a newer superduty on an older F250? What is involved in making it work? I have a Dana 44 in front.
I did the same thing, and I don't like it for the same reasons. I have been doing some checking around and FabTech makes a nice setup for the SuperDuty's. The info I have from the dealer on spring sizes is that the newer F250's & 350's are almost exact in the length and are identical in width(3"). I'm just not sure if they will work on this model with only a 4" lift and I haven't found anybody that makes 6" lift kits for these models either. I'll keep all of you in mind when I have more info.
I'm sorry I obviously missed the Trac Bar question. I haven't had any problem with my setup except a little wander on the highway, but I haven't had it aligned yet.
