I was wondering what the Ford 800 number to check on an order is, and also what web address I can go to to check on the status of my order. I've read where people mention both of these in some posts, but can't find them. My dealer says he doesn't know anything about them. I've tried Ford.com but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance for any help. Patiently awaiting Y2K, F250 SC, Long Bed, 4X4, 5.4 LS 4:10.

The web site is Ford Motor Company. You click on owners, and the site will ask you to fill out some info. This will give you access to e-mail addresses for your questions concerning your existing ford, or ordered ford. The phone number is 1 800 392 3673. I don't think you have to register to call this number but you have to know your order number and the body style of the truck. The dealer has this info if it is not on your order form. They will also ask for your dealer code number, and I just tell them the dealership name and city , state and they look it up for me. The operators are friendly and helpful, good luck Eilyns

 

Keep in mind that the info the CAC has might not be correct. Called about my order this past Wednesday, had VIN, they advise it was to built the week of May 15th-22nd and delivery May 29th-June 5th. Guess what, the truck was the dealer this past Wednesday. Bad news it was had ordering info wrong so turned down. Anyway, not sure CAC is much use, but they are friendly. But this information at least gives you a time frame. Probably would go by the dealer info, if they have a VIN, the truck will be built, if they have the title, the truck is built and just waiting to get to the dealer (my experience anyway). Good luck.
