Hi again guys,
I just bought some cab lights for my truck, they are the exact same ones that come on the Super Dutys from the factory. I began taking the headliner down tonight to see what I'm getting myself in to and was kinda overwhelmed so,
Do any of you guys have any tips for putting cab lights on?
Any other information would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!
I knew it!!! I'm not the only person left in the world that wants to see Roof Clearance lights on my truck!! I have checked every F-250 listed on internet inventories for all the San Diego dealerships and can not find roof lights unles it's a dually.. I see some F-250 SRW around with lights, but am starting to think they were ordered that way...
Pics look great, but I cring at the thought of drilling into a new truck like that, especially when invoice on the lights is only $55.
I know what you mean about the lights, bought mine off the lot. Had the dealer install the lights some time later. They did a great job, but cost me $250. It was worth it to me, I like the look and the dealer did it right!
Roof lights are not required on non-dualies. It all depends on the width of the vehicle. As far as some dealers not having any with clearance lights, it all depends on the guy who does the ordering. He is the 'god' of what they get on the lot.
I ordered them factory, but they didn't work when the truck was delivered. I asked my dealer a few times to look at them when I went in for oil changes and they couldn't figure the problem out. I finally figured it out with the help of a few fellow FTE'ers that helped me locate the lower power plug-in and I plugged it in to the wire harness from the clearance lights. Just like that, they work!!!. The good thing was all my work was done behind the passenger kick panel since the wiring had been done at the factory. Good luck
Hey thanks guys that link and the other information was a great help. I'm only 18 and it seams like cab lights are the "old man" or "farmer" thing to do around here for a young guy but I really do like the way they look. Thanks again.
