"...should be possible."

Remember this is experimental.

Stock head gaskets don't like boost, but that will change in a month or so, then I'll be able to see what she can do. Not stock injectors, but crappy chip. I need a good chip once the gaskets are addressed and I get my new trans in a few weeks.

I don't like those.
They have built in mufflers.
If I am going to have stacks, I want them to be LOUD.
I love that straightpiped diesel sound.

Very nice. I wouldn't bother building a hood for it, just have the 4B and 3B chromed.

Are you actually seeing the boost #s adding to each other? Technically what you've created is a multi-stage compressor similar to a jet turbine compressor. It is basically a series of blades that compress the air from the intake and then pass it to the next denser set of blade to be further compressed. This is done again and again until it is fed into the combustion chamber (Burner can). I would be interested to know the boost numbers as each turbo spooled up. Each turbo should should show a gain that is a multiple of the previous turbo. I understand that this isn't a true jet engine compressor, so nowhere near as efficient at compressing, but you may be playing with more boost than you're seeing, or enough boost to truly "Blow" something apart.

I like the idea and it really looks cool. Any way you could check the boost reading between each turbo? I am really courious to understand what is happening in your system.

I agree, leave off the hood, chrome the turbos, and scare the bajeebers out of everybody!

Sorry to high-jack the post form whomever started it.

Jlower, that is exactly it.
I first just did the twin staged turbos last fall, adding a 60 psi gauge on the engine and a 30 psi gauge on #2. When the engine saw 45 psi, #2 was putting out around 15. (too many gauges to watch and going too fast, so I'm pretty close on #'s.) That's a pretty good jump. And the 60 gauge would peg in a heartbeat if I let it. 'Course I'd need to be towed home if I did.

Now with 3 turbos, I did not have another boost gauge so i don't know what #3 is putting out, but when the engine was making 30-35 psi, #2 was around 15! Seems to be running a bit lean now. Need some more fuel.

I'm planning on getting a scrap hood to play with, and just cut enough out of it so the stuff sticks up through it, and still keep the engine compartment covered.

The looks on peoples face when i drive by is priceless.
