Hi, ,tried to join last year, but didnt work? I have a 04 f350 sc 4x4 lariat ,got last week ,trip meter showing about 8.2 mpg ,not good but the same as my van .

Hi new guy here. I have a 97 F-250 HD 4X4 with a 5.8. 146k miles fully stock. I love this truck. I bought it a year ago. I would rather pay for the gas at 2 bucks a gal than drive my economical 35 mpg sentra. Anyway AL my F-250 ( he came with a name when I got him) has developed a bit of a surging problem at idle after he warms up. He dosn't do it all the time but he does do it. What could be the problem? Can any body help me with this?

im new here too,dont really have any questions,,,,,,,,or complaints, but just wanna say,,,if anybody is going to get a 4x4 SD/ w the 5.4,,,,,,,,get a stick. the auto trans imo is pretty much worthless offroad. Its probably the fact that ive never had a truck with an auto,,,,,,,but its a little dissapointing when it gets into the mud and dirt,,,,,,,no mudders yet guys, and it is true,,,,its a heavy beast, but it seems to wanna dig itself in just just a little too easy.
or maybe it could be 1`a case of the left foot with not enough to do Hee Hee
anyway,,,,,,,sorry for the b*&^cnintband

Yea we still have all of these trucks & two more coming sometime. Yes you can make you truck last 24 years if you take great care of it change the oil every 3000 miles keep it clean and dont beat it to death. Check out my gallery and you will see that the only trucks we do not have is the 89 & 95.
