Finally got the soft top!

Hey all, Recently a few people have asked about soft tops so figured I would post some pics of mine. This is an STC top that I ordered from thejeep.com. If you plan on getting one, plan for about a good day to install it. Make sure you have a good drill and an automatic center punch, it will make it much easier. The only snag I really hit was my rear curtain was coming up really short of reaching the snaps. I had to release the rear bar, drill the snaps and latch, and then raise the bar. It stretched it pretty tight as you can see, but since then it has loosened up enough to be able to open and close pretty easy. The top makes no noise going down the freeway and is tight as a drum. I really like all the options STC gives you as far as window tinting (mine are 30%) and choice of colors. I have a couple more shots in my gallery. Hopefully in the next month or two I will begin the body and paint. In case your wondering, the kit was $517 to my door.

Thanks for the pictures. Does that top allow for the rear and sides to be rolled up?

It sure does! That's the main reason I got one. I felt bad for my poor kids that come july or august, were baking in the back seat with the top off. This way they can get some shade and still have good breezy fun

Its the standard black vinyl. I was interested in the denim, but couldn't find any pictures of it, so decided to play it safe.

I have the soft top that follows the contours of the truck. I love the thing because you can go convertible in less than 10 minutes.

Nice! I got mine about a year or so ago and it was the best $500 I've spent, except for the $500 I spent to buy the truck the soft top is on! As the weather warms you'll love it more and more.

Please do, I am curious to see what the denim looks like. Just a side note, after letting the top stay up for a week, as STC recomends, I was finally able to put it down. The best part is, I can go from full convertible to completely buttoned up in 5-6 minutes! Thats quicker than my buddy can get his suzuki's on!

I am also curious to see what it will look like on the truck. They say it same texture and color that the new jeeps come with
