I called the VOPC to check on my order and the system told me that as of March 15th (Monday) my truck had been shipped via "Rail Carrier" ..... does anyone know the approximate time it takes the truck to arrive at the dealership from the "Rail Carrier"?

thanks for the information wldwilliam .... the funny thing is that is bascially the same exact information the VOPC told me (dates and everything) .... my car was uilt the week of the 8th ... out the 9th ..... etc.

and yes I am anxiously waiting also .....

did the truck ship when the vopc originally said it was 'scheduled to ship'. I'm wondering because mine is scheduled to arrive about 16 days after its production date. Yours was only ten days to arrival after production. I know, its only 6 days difference, but....this waiting bites!

 

I believe it shipped when it said. The timing of everything indicates the VOPC updates were right on. It went by truck, to train, by truck again. I imagine there are some variables involved, like where your dealer is located in relation to the ramp and how many vehicles are headed in that direction. The waiting is difficult but I will vouch that it's worth it. So far, I like the truck very much...and something I became a bit worried about...no dreaded vibration. You will be pleased.

 

What is VOPC?

I've ordered my truck from Galpin. Is it possible for me to check status over the internet?

 

no internet tracking that I am aware of...

dealer number (from VOC)
order number or VIN (order number is easier)
body style code (W14 for SuperCrew)
model year (presumably 2004)

Has anyone ever gotten the VOPC to work in voice recognition mode and VIN method? My wife & I both tried it numerous times without success. It keeps adding a digit that we don't say! This is worse than not having a tracking system at all!

 

I take it you don't know your order number...?
I never tried it using the VIN but I did have it screw up a couple times on the order number. You really have to speak clearly and deliberately.

able to track it through here as the dealer gave me the order number.
